Every LIX Roastery product begins with the decision of where and how to source its coffee. Vietnam is an important focus within our sourcing strategy, while LIX continues to build relationships with farmers, producers, cooperatives, exporters, and green coffee partners across coffee-producing regions worldwide.

Each lot is evaluated on its actual quality, origin information, traceability, sensory profile, and long-term supply stability. For LIX Roastery, Origin is therefore more than the name of a growing region. It is a body of information about where the coffee begins, the people behind it, and the conditions that have shaped the value of each lot.

quality

Physical and sensory quality form the starting point of every sourcing decision. Moisture, density, bean size, physical defects, and cupping results are considered together to understand the actual potential of each lot.

traceability

Information about the producer, growing region, variety, crop, and processing method is treated as part of the product from the beginning. Traceability allows the value of Origin to remain connected to the coffee as it moves through product development and into the market.

continuity

For B2B, one exceptional lot is only the beginning. LIX also considers the ability to maintain quality, supply, and working relationships across seasons when evaluating the long-term potential of a source.

responsbility

Partner evaluation also considers transparency in commercial relationships, responsibility toward producing communities, environmental and ecosystem impact, and the long-term continuity of producer livelihoods.

Data from Origin continues with the coffee as it enters the Lab. Information on region, variety, crop, processing, and the physical condition of the green coffee is considered alongside physical and sensory evaluation to create a working basis for product development.

LIX Roastery approaches its relationships with Origin Partners with a long-term perspective. Maintaining information, quality feedback, and traceability across seasons gives both the source and the finished product a stronger foundation for consistent development.
